Description
The Ancon Debonding Sleeve is designed for use with plain-ended wall ties at vertical movement joints adjacent to columns. They accommodate the expansion and contraction of masonry while maintaining lateral restraint against wind loads. For optimal performance, debonded ties should be embedded 100mm into the masonry. With a length of 120mm, the sleeve provides sufficient allowance for movement and installation tolerances, making it suitable for a wide range of construction applications. Supplied in bags of 250, they offer a practical solution for managing movement joints.
Application – Specifically designed for vertical movement joints, the sleeves ensure that masonry movement at critical structural points is safely accommodated without compromising the integrity of the wall.
Movement – Allows controlled expansion and contraction of masonry, while still providing reliable lateral restraint against wind loads, helping to maintain the stability of the overall structure.
Embedment – Debonded ties should be embedded 100mm into the masonry to ensure the sleeve functions correctly and provides the necessary restraint at movement joints.
Length & Tolerance – With a length of 120mm, the sleeves offer sufficient construction conditions and masonry thickness.
Packaging – Supplied in bags of 250, the sleeves provide flexibility for use on site, and makes it easy to manage quantities for specific movement joints within a project.
