At Grayson, sustainability isn’t simply an ambition—it’s embedded in everything we do. From the products we develop to the way we operate our business, we’re continually investing in initiatives that reduce our environmental impact while helping our customers achieve their own sustainability goals.
Following our achievement of becoming the first business of its type to achieve UKAS-certified Carbon Neutral status in 2024, we are proud to announce that Grayson is now certified to the internationally recognised ISO 14068 Carbon Neutrality standard.
Setting the Standard
ISO 14068 is the latest international standard for carbon neutrality, replacing PAS 2060 and providing a globally recognised framework for measuring, reducing and responsibly offsetting greenhouse gas emissions.
Achieving ISO 14068 certification demonstrates that our commitment to sustainability continues to evolve alongside the latest international best practice. It also reinforces our position as an environmental leader within the UK construction industry.
Our certification is independently verified through UKAS-accredited third-party assessment, giving customers complete confidence that our carbon neutrality claims are robust, transparent and independently validated.

Sustainability in Action
Our ISO 14068 certification is the result of years of investment and continual improvement across every area of the business.
Some of the initiatives that have helped us achieve this milestone include:
- Transitioning all company cars and vans to fully electric vehicles.
- Operating electric forklifts powered by electricity generated from our own solar energy.
- Converting our large commercial vehicle fleet to lower-carbon biofuels.
- Maintaining our Zero Waste to Landfill status, with over 95% of operational waste recycled and the remaining material diverted to energy recovery.
- Continuing to invest in renewable energy generation and battery storage technology.
These initiatives form part of our wider commitment to reducing emissions before responsibly offsetting unavoidable residual emissions, in line with the principles of ISO 14068.
Looking to the Future
While achieving ISO 14068 certification is a significant milestone, it is not the end of our sustainability journey.
We remain committed to investing in cleaner technologies, developing more sustainable construction products and supporting our customers as the construction industry moves towards a lower-carbon future.
At Grayson, we’re proud to be leading by example and setting higher standards for environmental responsibility across our industry.
