Grayson were honoured to sponsor the Brick Awards for another year! The Brick Awards is an annual ceremony to celebrate the best brickwork projects across 15 categories and it is an integral part of the brick industry calendar. Grayson sponsored the Refurbishment category which shows recognition and appreciation to 9 of the best refurbished buildings using UK bricks.
The annual ceremony took place at a new venue this year, the Royal Lancaster Hotel in Bayswater London. The awards were attended by leading architects, housebuilders, developers, contractors and suppliers and this year Clare Spivey, Chris Bentley and Kerry Price represented Grayson.
The Brick Development Association organise the Brick Awards which have been running for 43 years. Keith Aldis, CEO of the BDA kickstarted the ceremony and we then heard from Head Judge Hillary Satchwell.
The chosen charity for the evening, CRASH, then took to the stage. CRASH specialise in helping homelessness and hospice charities improve their buildings, to enable them to provide better shelter and services.
Gyles Brandreth was an excellent host for the evening providing a great atmosphere for the ceremony.
Clare Spivey presented the Refurbishment award, congratulations to the Royal Academy of Arts project for winning! Kerry Price attended the awards for the first time, saying “it was a fantastic experience and great to see all the amazing projects shortlisted for the awards”.
