Designed for both low-rise and high-rise construction, GridForce™ provides an effective and economical method of reinforcing masonry. It increases the tensile strength of masonry while helping to control cracking caused by drying shrinkage, thermal movement and structural loading.
By incorporating GridForce™ into the wall design, it is often possible to reduce, or in some cases eliminate, the need for windposts. This can simplify construction, create cleaner wall elevations and reduce overall project costs.
GridForce™ features ultra-low-profile flattened longitudinal wires that allow it to be installed within a standard 10mm mortar bed under formed cavity wall ties. This minimises steel build-up within the bed joint, even at laps and junctions.
