With the continually increasing importance of fire safe products, we are always working with our strong supplier network to find products that meet current requirements.
We now have a stainless steel weep available to meet current demand in the industry. The December 2018 amendment to Approved Document B: Fire Safety of the building regulations prohibits the use of combustible materials in residential buildings over 18 metres.
Guidance taken from the NHBC Standards Technical Requirement 3 advise that stainless steel is a suitable materials because it is classified as A1 non-combustible, therefore meeting the requirements of the NHBC and the amendment to building regulations.
Weep guard protects drainage holes
The holes in the guard allow ventilation and allow water to exit, but are small enough to prevent rodents and insects entering the cavity.

Simply push the guard into the drainage holes.
Can be cut down on site
The weep guards are made to a standard size of 6mm, however if the drainage hole is shorter than this then the guard can be easily cut on site.
