Description
Engineered to fix an inner timber frame to an outer brick façade, the GT-TFT is designed to provide reliable performance in domestic, and small commercial timber frame buildings up to four storeys high. Manufactured from high-grade stainless steel and engineered to accommodate vertical movement, the GT-TFT offers long-lasting durability, excellent corrosion resistance, and effective thermal performance. Fully compliant with BS EN 845-1 standards, it provides a dependable solution for masonry-to-timber connections.
Application – Designed for structures with a maximum height of 15 m and for flat sites where the basic wind speed does not exceed 25 m/s and altitude is no more than 150 m above sea level.
Design – Masonry-to-timber tie for timber frame construction that allows for vertical movement.
Material – Made from grade 304 stainless steel.
Fire Performance – Non-combustible, in accordance with national Building Regulations.
Durability – Excellent corrosion resistance with a service life of at least 60 years.
Thermal Performance – Effectively limits thermal transmittance across the wall cavity where thermal losses through ties are a consideration.
Compliance – Tested to BS EN 845-1, meeting Type B standards for sound and Type 6 standards for strength.
